It’s time for the second challenge at the Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog! As a reminder, the theme is “anything goes” and it runs all September long. You can add up to five entries & cross-posting with other challenges is cool. Break your holiday supplies out of storage and get making!

For today’s card, I decided to use some lovely patterned paper from ModaScrap and non-traditional colors to show off this super pretty Birch Press Design die set.

The Radiant Ornament die set comes in three pieces so you can mix and match the layers. I cut the top layer out of Ivory cardstock and coated it with Versamark ink and Frosted Crystal embossing powder to give it a bit of texture and shine.

For the sentiment, I die cut the word ‘Merry,’ stamped it lightly with the Versamark pad, and adhered it to a Pink vellum strip to help it stand out from the ornament. I added a few trimmed Foam Squares, strategically placed behind the letters, to attach it to the card. The ribbon is an iridescent pink/green combo that matched perfectly with the card colors!
