Hello and Welcome to World Card Making Day with Whimsy Stamps!  We are so excited for you to join the fun today with an amazing blog hop from the talented Whimsy artists.

Each blog will have some inspiration with a card perfect for World Card Making Day.  Today, I would like to share my project using the fabulous Giraffe Baby Love rubber stamp and Hand Stitched Nested Rectangles dies!

I first stamped this image in a super light beige ink, since I was going to be working mostly with browns, blues, and greens. The color combos are:

  • Grass: G43, G46
  • Flowers: G46. YG67, B63, B66, V17
  • Pollen: Y17
  • Mama Giraffe: E23, E37
  • Baby Giraffe: E53, E57
  • Faces: Micron Pen, 01

After I was finished coloring, I buffed in a bit of green ink around the giraffes with a stencil brush. Then, I die cut my colored image and the light blue cardstock.

I matted the giraffes with the darker blue cardstock and popped it on the light blue with foam circles. Finally, I adhered the front onto a card base. The sentiment is from the Soul Mutts clear stamp set.
